Internet Safety

Each grade level is having assemblies to discuss internet safety. The fourth grade assembly is April 23rd and the fifth grade is May 2nd. In the assembly we will discuss the following:

The Internet can be wonderful for kids. They can use it to research school reports, communicate with teachers and other kids, and play interactive games.

But online access also comes with risks. Students will learn to not share personal information and not to believe everyone is who they say they are. Safety tips will be given such as not to friend people you don't know and always talk to your families before downloading or sending photos to people.

Parents should be aware of what their kids see and hear on the Internet, who they meet, and what they share about themselves. Talk with your kids, use tools to protect them, and keep an eye on their activities.
